Registered Dental Hygienist
My name is Joanna Wisniewska, I was born in Poland and came to Canada in 1992. As a child, I was very fearful of the dental office. My personal experience of going through dental treatment in Canada was what initially led me to consider a career as a dental hygienist. As I underwent dental treatment, I quickly developed a strong bond with the staff that was overseeing my treatment. It was this positive experience that motivated me to work in a central Mississauga dental office and help those who experience dental anxiety, the same way I did as a child.
In 1995 I became a Certified Dental Assistant and worked for four years as a dental assistant. I further continued my studies to become a Registered Dental Hygienist at Niagara College in Welland, Ontario and graduated in 2001. I have had many amazing employment opportunities as a dental hygienist over the years.
I enjoy taking care of people, and providing the best dental hygiene services in my office in Oakville. My goal is to educate and provide information so that my clients can improve their oral health and contribute to the well-being of their general health.
I keep current by attending continuing education courses to enhance my skills and increase my overall dental knowledge. I am a member in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO), Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) and the Halton Peel Dental Hygienists Society (HPDHS).
I am very excited to be able to provide dental hygiene care for Oakville, Mississauga, Burlington and Etobicoke residents at JW Dental Hygiene.
I look forward to meeting you.
